Recommended Method
Participants are asked to write words that come to their mind when they think about home. Afterwards, the participants are divided into groups of four. Trainer asks the participants to draw a picture of house by writing what is absolutely necessary in a house. Afterwards the participants hang the paintings on the walls. In the art gallery, other participants are asked to see the pictures prepared by the groups and to keep notes on the common points they see.
Then, in order to open the discussion during the debriefing process,
- For example, should there be a toilet at home?
- Should the house be safe, if so, how safe can it be?
- Do not you see any features that you expect to have in a house?
- Did you say that you can live without some features written? If so, why?
- What features did not a good house has?
- Can you live in your home with toilet, electric and water?
- Do you think the people should have privacy in their house?
During this process, the participants as well as puts “amounts” for the houses that they consider that liveable and the houses should be in one of the countries involved in the project as “Turkey, Greece, Italy, Portugal or Spain” and in a specific place. So that, the participants can experience the real-life situations.
“Young People and Housing Issues” : The participants are asked to work in their country groups to define the issues when it comes to the young people by thinking the every youth culture as rural youth, LGBTQI+, student etc. So that they can make a reflection about the situation in their countries. After the process, the participants present the issues in their countries.
