Summary of the Project |
The ECHE project was designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and digital competencies within the field of Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship (CHE). It achieved this by implementing personalized learning approaches, fostering collaborative learning environments, and strategically utilizing information and communication technology (ICT). The project effectively reached over 1,000 participants per partner through a variety of dissemination activities, including social media, workshops, and other communication channels. This extensive outreach not only met the project’s initial goals but also extended its impact beyond the project’s duration, with many stakeholders and participants continuing to engage with the project’s results. The project’s key achievements included raising awareness about the importance of developing CHE competencies and promoting these skills as essential for future success. Youth participants benefited from increased competence and support for improving their labor market prospects through the use of digital tools. This was made possible by the close cooperation between public authorities, project partners, and the unemployed or at-risk youth. Trainers gained valuable experience in delivering effective training methodologies and sectorial consultancy related to intercultural education, while educators expanded their understanding of blended learning practices and European educational systems.A notable outcome of the project was the development of a Policy Paper by the University of Tartu. This document emphasized various strategies for increasing youth involvement in CHE activities in the coming years. Additionally, more than 300 youths from partner countries participated in face-to-face and online workshops, tested a game and mobile app, and engaged in direct collaboration. The Policy Paper was further disseminated by partners to local policy-makers and NGOs, enhancing its impact and reach. The ECHE project focused on promoting social entrepreneurship education for youth through innovative and personalized approaches. These approaches took into account the diverse needs and conditions of different countries, ultimately benefiting a broader audience beyond just CHE. By engaging youth in creative processes, design thinking, leadership, and digital skills development, the project aimed to improve their employment prospects. The tools and methodologies developed, including digital resources like games and apps, as well as non-digital resources such as policy papers and guidelines, were relevant for advancing competencies within the ECHE target groups. Youth and youth workers were actively involved throughout the project, contributing to the development of project outputs and providing feedback on tools such as the mobile app and game. They also participated in training sessions, which helped to enhance their skills and knowledge in CHE. Many participants faced challenges such as unemployment, living in remote areas, or economic barriers, and the project provided them with new opportunities and resources.Other stakeholders gained new tools related to CHE, deepened their intercultural awareness, and improved their understanding of international educational, social, and cultural systems. The project reinforced the interaction between practice and policy, contributing to a more integrated approach to addressing the needs of youth in the context of cultural heritage and entrepreneurship. |

Significance of the Project |
The ECHE project is deeply connected to the youth field and inclusion by directly targeting youth and enhancing their entrepreneurial and digital skills in Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship (CHE). It addresses barriers faced by disadvantaged groups, such as unemployed youth, refugees, asylum seekers, and NEETs, by involving them in all stages of the project—from development to testing and training. This inclusive approach ensures that their needs are met and their perspectives are valued. Additionally, the project supports skill building and employability while raising awareness about the importance of CHE and intercultural understanding, thereby fostering greater social inclusion and providing equal opportunities for young people. |
