Training of Trainers for Youth Workers was developed to address the capacity of youth workers and share the outputs of the project before finalizing and promoting among the outer audience. The aim was to make youth workers engage with the young people more and qualify them as multipliers of the human rights of youth in their own countries to make them implement multiplier events and dissemination events in the participating countries.
We have revised the activities and the draft handbook and research documents according to the feedbacks from the participants engaged in the training activity. The training activity was consisted of series of methods to address the aims and objectives of the training for young people. Prior to the training, the methods have been developed by the consortium and the following program was implemented which can be used to tailor the needs of youth workers to make them engage more and promote the human rights of young people in a constructive manner.
The training activity had the following goals :
– To make the youth workers aware about the issues concerning the social welfare structures
– To qualify the youth workers as lobbyers to involve in the advocacy activity and make them aware about the issues of young people
– To quality the youth workers as trainers in the field of Human Rights of Youth and Implications of the Social Welfare Assistance in the lives of young people
– To create a network of qualified youth workers to implement activities with young people
– To make youth workers engage with the policy makers in their own countries
– To receive feedback on the outputs developed during the implementation of the project
The methods were as well as developed to be implemented online consisting with a system to make the young people to use and engage after to visit the activities of the project in a meaningful manner. In that way, we were able to revisit the information after training and revise for the future implementation of the activities.
First day of the methods were developed to increase the participants engagement with each other and make them involve more while building a trust between each other. In addition to that, during the development phase of the training methodology, we have left first two sessions for getting to know each other and ice breaking activities to make participants engage with each other. During these process, same methods were used alike in the human rights of training with young people and tailored to the needs of the youth workers.

For the implementation of the training, the methods listed above is used according to the time schedule as the final program, this program was revised and re-developed after the implementation of the overall activities in Turkey, March 2023 with the involvement of 20 youth workers. During the implementation of the activities, the trainer team was consisted of Verdesur and GAP Youth Association trainers and the rest of the participants involved from the consortium partners engaged in the activities and provided feedback on the implementation of the overall activity.
